New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - December 21, 2021) -  Computecoin (CCN), a high-tech firm to overcome computational obstacles facing Metaverse developers and end-users, will spearhead an initiative to connect African countries with rich, affordable computing power. The project aspires to give the next generation of African leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators the computing resources they need to build a digital future. Computecoin regards this mission as a vital first step toward addressing Africa's scarce computing resources and sparse data infrastructure.

Today, data processing infrastructure is in short supply throughout Africa. A report by Xalam Analytics and the African Data Centres Association (ADCA) found that "700 new data centers" would have to be built to meet current demand in Africa and establish throughout the continent the same data "capacity and density" that exists in South Africa.

NGO Africa 2.0 will combine efforts with Computecoin for this project. Africa 2.0 is "a community dedicated to the transformation of Africa", a strong partner that shares Computecoin's commitment to expanding access to rich and affordable computing power in Africa.

"In an Era where blockchain, artificial intelligence, the Metaverse are shaping our future, it is vital that African universities enter the game and are not left behind. Africa 2.0 is honored and delighted to be at the forefront of the digital revolution and contribute to Africa's digital transformation through this partnership." -- Mamadou Kwidjim Toure, Founder of Africa 2.0 Foundation.

To connect end-users in Africa to a pipeline of instantaneous processing capacity, Computecoin is joining forces with a few other key players such as Crust and ThreeFold. CCN's unique protocol will optimize computing resources provided by Crust's Web3.0 storage platform and ThreeFold's p2p network and ensure the computing resources are efficiently deployed through the CCN network.

"CCN is thrilled to partner with Africa 2.0 and a few decentralized pioneers to help reduce the technology barrier whilst supporting innovation throughout the continent."--Michael Robinson, Director of Partnership at Computecoin.

Computecoin and its partners will work closely and endeavor to improve and enhance the digital infrastructure in Africa, thus providing a much-needed power source for African dApp developers, Metaverse users, and other groups at the forefront of digital innovation.
