Following last week's news regarding the FireEye cyberattack disclosures, various reports surfaced pointing out that hackers went through the backdoor of SolarWinds (which serves government customers across the executive branch, the military, and the intelligence services) to exploit security flaws.
On December 14, 2020, SolarWinds SolarWinds assured investors than "fewer than 18,000 customers" had its Orion software compromised in the hack.
