David Wolfin, President and CEO stated, "We are pleased with the progress being made on the ground in Mexico and remain confident in our ability to achieve our goals on time. Management is reviewing and developing opportunities for cost reduction so we can remain profitable and continue our self-funded expansion into 2014. Since its inception in 1968, Avino has managed to survive multiple metal market contractions by nursing our balance sheet and conducting a lean operation both in Mexico and Canada; in 2013 that model continues to set us apart."
Avino shares currently trade at $0.90, well below the $3.01 target price, and with 27.4 million shares outstanding, the company is capitalized at $24.7 million.
