After market close on February 11, 2020, Insperity announced its financial results for its fourth quarter and full year 2019. The Company disclosed that "[t]he average profit per [worksite employee] per month declined from $272 in 2018 to $259 in 2019 on a higher than expected benefits cost trend due to elevated large healthcare claim activity." The company also reported, for its fourth quarter, net income and diluted earnings per share of $20.4 million and $0.51 which represented decreases of 17% and 14%, respectively, compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

Following these disclosures, Insperity's share price fell over 19%.
