Louisville, Colorado--(Newsfile Corp. - September 2, 2026) - Charlotte's Web Holdings, Inc. (TSX: CWEB) (OTCQX: CWBHF), the market leader in hemp extract wellness products, today welcomed the U.S. House of Representatives' passage of the continuing resolution (CR), which was approved by a vote of 370-48, following the Senate's earlier passage of the measure. The legislation will now be sent to the President for signature and enactment into law.

The passage of the CR helps ensure continuity of government operations while providing additional time until December 11, 2026, for Congress to complete work on longer-term policy priorities. This measure delays the November 12th ban on naturally derived hemp products while maintaining the prohibition on synthetic cannabinoids.

"Charlotte's Web appreciates the House's action to advance this legislation and give Congress time to develop thoughtful regulation that separates naturally derived, therapeutic products from intoxicating synthetics and high-THC products," said Bill Morachnick, CEO of Charlotte's Web. "Regulatory certainty is critical for businesses, consumers, farmers, and stakeholders across the hemp industry. We are encouraged to see lawmakers come together to advance an opportunity for the broader policy discussions to continue."

As the nation's leading hemp CBD wellness company, Charlotte's Web remains committed to advocating for science-based regulations and a clear federal framework that protects consumers, supports responsible businesses, and enables continued innovation across the hemp-derived product marketplace.

Mr. Morachnick added, "The future of therapeutic hemp should not be defined by the highest-risk products in the category. It should be defined by consumer safety, product integrity, and science. We believe lawmakers can deliver a framework that protects Americans while preserving access to the wellness products that have helped so many people improve their quality of life."
