Buccaneer Gold Announces Appointment of New CFO and Grant of Options

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - September 12, 2016) - Buccaneer Gold Corp. (TSXV: BGG) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that John Ross has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, replacing Cindy Davis. Mr. Ross brings over 25 years of exploration and mining experience to Buccaneer. The Company would like to express its appreciation to Ms. Davis for her contributions to the Buccaneer during her tenure.

The Company also wishes to announce the grant of 1,750,000 options at a price of $0.05 for a five-year term. The options were issued to incoming Directors and Officers and to office staff.
