Irvington, New Jersey--(Newsfile Corp. - September 16, 2024) - Sunrise Clinical Services, a prominent organisation specialized in curing mental health disorders and substance abuse through diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, successfully hosted its 7th annual community cookout on 21st August. The event was officially inaugurated by the CEO, Tuseeaf Rathore who later addressed the guests with a heartfelt welcome speech. Held at 22 Ball Street, Irvington, more than 600 community members, along with their families, came together to attend the fun-filled event that ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The community cookout, a much-anticipated experience, was organized to foster a sense of togetherness while raising awareness about mental problems and substance abuse.

Tuseeaf Rathore shared the reason behind his vision, "In the US, 1 in every 5 adults suffers from mental health illness. Also, Opiod dependency and epidemic are two other major problems existing in the State. These conditions worsen due to stigma, poor understanding, misinformation, mismanagement, ignorance and even negative attitudes towards a patient. Through this cookout, we aim to bridge that gap and create awareness among people through correct information, thus, cultivating a supportive community."

"The get-together was also arranged to remind people that help is available for those struggling with psychological concerns," added the CEO. He further emphasized the significance of these engagements and the clinic's commitment to improve mental wellness.

A Star Athlete's Contribution

A highlight of the cookout was the involvement of Jake Shvartsman, an ace tennis and soccer player and straight-A student. He assisted with cooking and serving food, drinks and chips. His humble interactions and promptness in helping guests find seats did not go unnoticed by attendees. Jake's active participation showcased his enthusiasm and dedication to serving the community and working for its well-being hands-on.

"The experience was incredible. I can't wait to volunteer my time in anything like this again, all thanks to Sunrise Clinical Services," Jake remarked, reflecting on his involvement. He believes that such community gatherings serve as an important platform to connect, educate and support each other.
