Viscount Systems Appoints George E. Birnbaum to Board of Directors

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - May 11, 2015) - Viscount Systems Inc (OTCQB: VSYS) ("Viscount"), a software company specializing in physical and logical security solutions, today announced the appointment of George E. Birnbaum to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Mr. Birnbaum is an international political consultant and entrepreneur, with over 20 years of experience developing and implementing successful campaign strategies for politicians around the world. To Viscount, he brings years of entrepreneurial, business management and political expertise, which will be instrumental as he helps guide the Company on a path toward continued growth.

Since entering the political arena in 1992, Mr. Birnbaum has held numerous positions advising campaigns for congressmen, senators and world leaders. His work on various congressional races contributed to victories in several jurisdictions, including North Carolina, Florida and Virginia.

After serving as the deputy political director and deputy director of survey research under National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Alfonse D'Amato, Mr. Birnbaum went on to consult for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's campaign for reelection in 1999. He went on to serve as the Prime Minister's chief of staff for nearly two years.

In the private sector, Mr. Birnbaum founded an international political consulting firm with legendary American conservative political consultant Arthur Finkelstein in 2003. Their partnership is credited with the elections of Prime Ministers, Chancellors and Presidents in jurisdictions spanning throughout the Middle East and Europe. Most recently, Mr. Birnbaum helped form a social media marketing company focused on helping political campaigns gain traction through digital channels.
