(CSE: MJ) ("True Leaf" or the "Corporation") announced today that its common shares have been approved for listing on the Canadian Securities Exchange ("CSE") today, February 9, 2015. The company has commenced trading today under the symbol "MJ".
An early applicant under Health Canada's Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR), True Leaf has complied with all requests and currently awaits approval of its application.
True Leaf day-to-day operations are led by CEO Darcy Bomford, the founder and former CEO of Darford International; a Vernon, BC-based pet nutrition company.
Hemp Nutrition for Pets
As True Leaf awaits the approval of its licence application from Health Canada, the company is looking at new opportunities with hemp nutrition, Mr. Bomford says. "We see a real opportunity in the development of hemp-based nutritional products for pets. Pet owners acknowledge that pets contribute enormously to their quality of life, which aligns with our vision as the Quality of Life Company."
