Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - December 15, 2016) - Enerdynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. (TSXV: EHT) ("EHT" or the "Company") today provided an update on the marketing of its Enertec product. Management has been actively negotiating with several Medicinal Marijuana growers to construct sophisticated growing facilities using EHT's Advanced Modular Housing System with the embedded Enertec solar roof.

The burgeoning Medicinal and Recreational Marijuana industry, estimated by Deloitte Canada to give the Canadian economy an annual benefit of up to $23-billion, is expected to see an explosion in growth if the country's Liberal government legalizes the distribution of marijuana for recreational use. There are at present 36 licensed medical marijuana producers and an estimated 400 applications in the works for companies looking to meet the explosion in medicinal and potentially recreational demand. Legislation to legalize marijuana is expected to be tabled in the Spring of 2017.

EHT intends to capitalize on this opportunity with its unique composite building material and embedded solar roof, which can meet the rigid specifications of growing marijuana in an energy efficient environment while at the same time meeting the numerous health and safety considerations.

"EHT's composite walls and solar roofs are the perfect fit for growing marijuana in an environment that needs to meet rigid specifications from a health and safety perspective," said EHT CEO John Gamble. "The more we looked at this market segment, the more opportunity we identified for our building system with embedded solar."

EHT has been in discussion with numerous companies within the marijuana industry (and other specialized horticultural niches) to potentially move the growing facilities completely off-grid using the Enertec solar roof, which would provide a more cost effective way to meet what is expected to be a very competitive pricing environment. The building material itself has naturally high energy efficient qualities, thereby reducing the need for costly heating and cooling.

The Company's Advanced Modular Housing System can be constructed in panels up to 40 feet in length or four times that of conventional walls. This advantage is well suited to large growing facilities where it is important to eliminate cross contamination of marijuana strains, a critical quality control of product potency and purity in a tightly regulated and legalized market.

The EHT Advanced Modular Housing System uses a proprietary skin and foam core that is stronger and more energy efficient than traditional wood or steel structures providing the highest ratings for energy efficiency. EHT works with its partners worldwide to erect the buildings on-site utilizing EHT staff and local crews. After installation, each structure can be furnished and finished to meet the customer's requirements including customer requests for siding, tile, kitchens and bathrooms or segregated growing rooms. The finished product can be shipped on pallets and can be delivered via rail, truck or water in standard formats.

At the core of the Enertec product, whereby the solar cells are embedded in a proprietary fire proof skin, is the substantial cost savings from eliminating heavy glass panels and aluminum racking, two significantly limiting factors in the adoption of solar because of weight limitations, and onerous shipping and labour costs. A lighter product at a better price point will open up a larger market for solar because of faster payback times especially for rural and remote users looking to go off-grid. Furthermore, the entire EHT embedded solar roof becomes a massive solar panel capable of producing significantly more energy than the home requires, allowing the structure to then become an important source of power for the local micro grid or large battery storage systems.

EHT will report back in early 2017 on the progress of management discussions in the medical marijuana sector.
