In February 2015 the company received a Licensed Producer contract from Health Canada under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations. Aurora has constructed a new state of the art, expandable 54,000 square foot facility located on 160 acres in Mountain View County, Alberta, in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The company recently moved 2,400 clones of 7 different strains to the flowering stage, with more strains to be introduced as production ramps up.

Aurora is expecting the first harvest to occur towards the end of June. Once in full production, the facility will be harvesting approximately 2,500 plants every 7 days, resulting in up to 100 kilograms of product per harvest.
