Lotus Ventures was formed through the amalgamation of Strachan Resources, previously a capital pool company, and Private Lotus. 21,774,000 shares of Private Lotus and 2,500,000 shares of Strachan were exchanged for shares of Lotus Ventures on a share for share basis.

The company has the rights, subject to certain conditions, to acquire a production facility and operating assets in British Columbia, to be operated under the Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, upon obtaining a new production license. The facility currently produces medical marijuana pursuant to 4 licenses under the Medical Marijuana Access Regulations.

On October 27, 2014, Private Lotus completed a non-brokered private placement of 1,374,000 shares at $0.25 per share for gross proceeds of $343,500. The shares are trading at $0.25 and with 24.3 million shares outstanding, the company is capitalized at $6.1 million.
