InvestmentPitch Media Plans to Launch Equity Crowdfunding Campaign to Raise Funds using New Canadian Start-up Regulations Permitting Private Investments by Non-Accredited Investors

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - July 3, 2015) - InvestmentPitch Media (www.investmentpitch.com) plans to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign in order to raise funds under the new Canadian Start-up regulations.

For the first time in Canada, the average investor can make investments in the same companies that were previously only available to the small percentage of investors that met the restrictive accredited investor definitions.

On May 14, 2015 the securities regulatory authorities of six Canadian provinces approved a new start-up crowdfunding exemption allowing start-up and early stage companies, with a head office in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, to more easily raise capital.

Vancouver-based InvestmentPitch plans to be one of the first companies to take advantage of this new exemption.

Under these new regulations, investors are limited to investing only $1,500 in each company, with each qualifying private company limited to raising $250,000 twice a year.

InvestmentPitch has set a price of $0.05 per share, thereby allowing each investor to purchase up to 30,000 shares. These investments can only be handled by a small number of authorized financial websites.
