Capital Call

The Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation hosts an annual Capital Call styled after public companies’ earnings release calls, where we talk about what’s happening with capital raising from startup to small cap. The public has an opportunity to ask live questions about our annual report to Congress and the Commission and share perspectives on capital raising. 2024 Capital Call Covering Our FY2023 Annual Report
The Office's fifth annual Capital Call was held on January 30, 2024, to discuss recent trends in capital raising from startup to small cap and our 2023 annual report to Congress and the Commission.
Styled after public companies’ earnings release calls, the virtual meeting covered:
- what has been happening with capital raising across the country, including a spotlight on how and where capital is being raised and the unique challenges faced by women and diverse entrepreneurs,
- our Office’s work in supporting small businesses and their investors, and
- the recommendations we shared with Congress and the Commission in our 2023 annual report.
