You’re probably wondering what Koalas have to do with Lupe Skincare?

Koalas have skin problems too.

Lupe’s father, Steve, is a Koala vet.

Steve used to treat sick koalas with Sarcoptic Mange: a tiny insect (mite) that causes a severe dermatitis.

Today, koalas are facing extinction and we can’t let this happen.

We at Lupe Skincare believe in healthy skin and we believe koalas deserve healthy skin too. That’s why we are proud supporters of a GoFundMe to help stop the extinction of the koala.

A few words from Dr Steve.

The koala was listed as officially endangered by the Australian Government in February 2022. Due to the devastating impact of bushfires, droughts, heatwaves, habitat loss, disease, and even fatal road accidents, our beloved national icon is most certainly headed towards extinction.

We of course have some wonderful foundations in Australia dedicated to the preservation and conservation of koalas and their vulnerable habitats. But, we need to do more. If we are to protect koalas from their inevitable extinction, we also need to focus on the education of younger generations, not just in Australia, but all over the world.

We have a plan.

We are making an animated feature film called “The Last Koala" to be distributed through a global streaming service. We already have a production team in place with decades of experience in narrative film and animation production, and who have both worked for Netflix as full-time employees and content producers.

Education and conservation are key
because extinction is forever.
