H.E.L.P. for Youth Canada Society receives Canada Post Community Foundation support

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - September 25, 2018) - H.E.L.P. for Youth Canada Society ("HELP") is pleased to announce that it has received a $13,000 grant from the Canada Post Community Foundation for an important project, Project Backpack: Aid for street youth through education, in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, British Columbia.

Project Backpack is a community-based initiative that both provides essential items to homeless youth for survival on the streets, as well as educating students and citizens about youth homelessness. This is done through dialogue with case workers, industry experts and dedicated volunteers. Students make a difference in their community while organizing and leading their own charitable campaign."

Project Backpack has coordinated and assisted in the stuffing of thousands of backpacks, all containing basic essentials (warm clothing, toiletries, food coupons, etc.) to help youth survive on the street. These packs are then distributed to youth centres throughout Vancouver.
