Boston, Massachusetts--(Newsfile Corp. - October 19, 2026) - Block & Leviton announces that a securities fraud lawsuit has been filed against Gildan Activewear Inc. (NYSE: GIL) and certain of its executives. Investors who have lost money in their Gildan investment should contact the firm to learn more about how they might recover those losses. For more details, visit https://blockleviton.com/cases/gil.

What is this all about?

Gildan Activewear shares fell over 20% on June 16, 2026, following the publication of a Jehoshaphat Research report alleging that Gildan has been "channel stuffing" distributors with excess product beyond underlying end-user demand, creating what Jehoshaphat described as an approximately $500 million product overhang. The report further alleged that Gildan's organic growth has been negative for years, despite the Company reporting revenue growth, and that certain sales practices, including extended quarter-end terms, may have pulled sales forward between quarters.

According to the lawsuit, defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Gildan did not have adequate internal controls; (2) Gildan used channel stuffing to create an appearance of revenue; and (3) as a result, defendants' statements about Gildan's business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

Who is eligible?

Anyone who purchased or otherwise acquired publicly traded Gildan Activewear securities between February 19, 2025 and June 15, 2026, may be eligible, whether or not they have sold their investment. Investors should contact Block & Leviton to learn more.
