Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - September 13, 2012) - Pacific Comox Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: PCM) reports that it has completed construction of the access road to the Carmelitas test heap leach site at the Mabel gold/silver project in northern Sonora State, Mexico.

The environmental and land clearing permits for the test leach pad and the service yard have been completed and construction which is expected to take about one month is now starting.

Approximately 7,500 tonnes of drill intersected mineralization has been blasted on Carmelitas. From the drill intersections the estimated grade of the blasted Carmelitas mineralization is 2.1 g/tonne gold and 82 g/tonne silver. This grade will be checked as the mineralization is crushed. The crushing will start when the crusher and other equipment are moved to the site after the area is prepared.

Bhagwat Singh P. Eng. served as the qualified person (QP) for the most recent sampling and exploration programs under the definitions of National Instrument 43-101. The geologist on the Mabel program is Cesar Lemas.
