Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - October 6, 2020) - Politik (www.politik.ca), a global social impact agency headquartered in Vancouver, has announced the long awaited third chapter of Interzone; the genesis of an ethical digital blueprint for the post-pandemic economy.

Interzone (interzone.politik.ca) will be held online on December 1, 2 and 3, 2020 and will bring together socially conscious digital leaders from government, technology and enterprise to explore the purpose of humankind in the new millennium. The event has not been held since 2016 - when Bill McDermott, current CEO of ServiceNow and former CEO of SAP delivered the opening keynote presentation; along with Ryan Holmes, Founder and Executive Chair of Hootsuite.

"The hyper-acceleration of innovation over the last 30 years has seen technology move from the narrow confines of the largest governments and corporations, to become an integral part of all aspects of human endeavour, across its various manifestations in individual interactions, economic organization and social structures," commented Robert Brennan Hart, CEO of Politik and Executive Producer of the event.

"This miracle, however, is tempered with an unwritten requirement that participation in modern society requires the voluntary yet uninformed relinquishment of privacy and that the vast majority of humanity are passive consumers of new truths controlled by the very people who control access to the technologies. Can we restore access to and control over technology back to the people it was designed to serve, or will innovation remain an amoral force without an ethical core; subject to the imagination of the cabalistic technocracy who design, control and prosper from it?"

The independent and intimate gathering will feature three separate roundtable discussions about the role of digital ethics, cyber security and artificial intelligence in advancing society. The cast of 18 digital leaders includes:

  • Beena Ammanath, Executive Director of the Deloitte AI Institute
  • Anima Anandkumar, Executive Director of Machine Learning Research at NVIDIA
  • Rohit Ghai, CEO of RSA Security
  • Brent Homan, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
  • Dr. Danny Lange, Senior Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Unity Technologies
  • Dr. Mihaela Ulieru, President of the IMPACT Institute for the Digital Economy
