NASHVILLE, Tenn. July 28, 2021 – Vibronyx, a veteran-owned supply chain technology and analytics services company, today announced the expansion of its agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to develop a Pilot of the Joint Food Management Systems (JFMS) enterprise supply chain visibility solution. This contract is a significant expansion of the three-phase R&D contract announced in March 2019.

As a Prime Contractor for the DLA and its $3 billion Subsistence supply chain, the partnership combines Vibronyx’s deep domain experience and Vibronyx Procurement Control Tower capabilities to develop and deploy more agile, secure and resilient capabilities across the supply chain to support global warfighter readiness. According to Gartner, “Often technology-based control towers are seen in functions such as logistics and planning, but not as often in procurement. Accordingly, the approach isn’t technology-specific, but more as a strategy to connect organizations, data, people and processes.”[1]

“We’re proud to continue our support of the U.S. military and work with the DLA to continue their enterprise digital transformation,” said Clayton Nicholas, Vibronyx CEO. “The final product will leverage emerging technology, expand visibility across global supplier networks and provide predictive decision making to increase mission capability, resilience and readiness.”

Under the extended scope, Vibronyx will facilitate a modernization strategy, solution roadmap and pilot execution across two task orders over the next 18 months. The resulting control tower capability will integrate data from JFMS key stakeholders to include the DLA, USTRANSCOM and military services systems and automate manual processes. The solution will deliver business intelligence dashboards with predictive analytics, provide end-to-end visibility of food supply, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, SLAs and supplier collaboration processes.

Vibronyx will lead development of various enterprise technology-enabled solutions for the final pilot solution, including a visibility tower platform, visual dashboards for insight into metrics and actionable KPIs, an API layer to support data management and DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance, food ordering automation, predictive data analytics and in-transit visibility. The JFMS will be developed and deployed using hybrid-cloud, microservices and new DLA DevSecOps technical architectures and processes.

This latest announcement represents the next stage in scaling Vibronyx’s supply chain capabilities and solidifies the company as a strategic partner of choice for the DLA to proactively evolve supplier relationship management and drive resilience and digital transformation across the defense enterprise.
