Understanding Your Futures Trading Fees
Engaging in futures trading might appear complex due to the multiple components involved. This guide aims to simplify and explain these components:
What is Futures Trading?
Futures trading enables investors to buy or sell an asset at a predetermined price in the future. On BTSE, these trades come with specific fees.
Basics of Futures Trading Fees
What are they? Futures trading fees are charged both when you open and close futures contract positions. These are distinct from the funding rate.
How are they deducted? These fees are subtracted from the user's margin balance.
How Futures Trading Fees Are Calculated:
Fees upon opening and closing contracts are derived from the Notional Value of the positions.
Notional Value = Mark Price [USDT] x Position Size [Crypto Units]
For instance:
If a user employs 1 BTC of margin to open a 10 BTC position with 10X leverage, and the Mark Price stands at $29,400 USDT, the Notional Value becomes:
$29,400 [USDT] x 10 [BTC] = $294,000
For a General User acting as a Maker, the fee is:
General User Maker Fee Rate x Notional Value = 0.01% x $294,000 = $29.40 USDT
