September 29, 2021 - Reportable® Inc., in collaboration with NewsRx, has launched Life Science Monitoring, a media monitoring service tailored to the life sciences industry, including biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, medical device and research tools companies. The service makes use of NewsRx's artificial intelligence, which monitors and reports on the latest scientific research, patents and clinical trials. Relevant results keep companies informed of what's impacting their industry scientifically by delivering succinct easy-to-read yet thorough briefs of technical manuscripts that may otherwise not be found.

"Staying informed of scientific developments is critical to companies developing therapies, diagnostics, medical devices and research tools," said Tom Baker, Co-founder of Reportable. "Information overload makes it challenging to keep up with and make sense of the latest scientific literature, patents and clinical trials. Our new service acts as a virtual employee dedicated to this time-consuming process to deliver digestible yet informative snippets of what’s essential."

Reportable created its Life Science Monitoring by adding NewsRx as a data source to its traditional and social media monitoring, analytics and reporting services. In addition to receiving a daily digest of news coverage and social media mentions, Life Science Monitoring clients have the option to receive the following:

  • 500 word summaries of relevant scientific literature that is more comprehensive than an abstract but faster and easier to interpret.
  • 1,000 word summaries of relevant patent filings and applications - more manageable than a full patent filing delivered to your inbox
  • Notifications of updates for relevant clinical trials posted on clinicaltrials.gov

“NewsRx’s  newsletters and online tool BUTTER have been helping scientific researchers and organizations cut through the noise of the Information Age as one of the first companies to build and offer innovative AI journalism,” said Kalani Rosell, President at NewsRx. “Our collaboration with Reportable now brings this technology and our coverage to communications teams at life science companies.”

Customized Concierge Service

Reportable’s Life Science Monitoring is a customized concierge service. Customers can quickly get up and running by providing key terms in their industry including names of competing companies, and products, technologies, therapeutic classes, disease areas, mechanisms-of-action, and drug targets. Reportable will then deliver daily digests and/or real time alerts directly to your inbox. No new software login is required for communications teams or their management unless customers would like to perform their own ad hoc searches or review prior digests. In addition to digests and alerts, Reportable also offers custom monthly or quarterly reporting on media metrics as well scientific developments.
