Ivan Steele Law does not accept Ontario Legal Aid certificates. We do not accept refugee cases or any new litigation files, contested family law matters (litigation) and we no longer provide representation in the Federal Courts.

Taking advantage of advanced communication technologies, all meetings are conducted via Zoom/Skype/Facetime and any originals or documents requiring signatures should be sent via post/courier. In partnership with We Work Canada, we make exceptions for in-person meetings at our Hudson’s Bay location for exceptional circumstances and by appointment only. Working together, we will take full advantage of modern document sharing and communication technologies reserving the in-person meetings only for the matters that legally require it. This approach provides a great deal of flexibility, reduces our carbon footprint, and saves time. IMMIGRATION LAW AREAS OF PRACTICE
Ivan Steele’s pre-eminent area of practice is spousal and common-law sponsorships. He has helped countelss Canadians and Permanent Residents to bring their wives, husbands and common law partners to Canada. In addition, Mr. Steele’s Toronto immigration law practice focuses on citizenship applications, common-law, conjugal and spousal sponsorships for permanent residence in Canada, parent and grandparent sponsorships / immigration and federal economic class application (Express Entry). We are happy to help clients with visitor visas, study permit and work permits. We do NOT accept refugee status applications, humanitarian and compassionate applications and appeals.

As the situation progresses and based on client feedback, this streamlined business model will likely become permanent, with exceptions made for in-person meetings only in exceptional circumstances.
