Bill Lerner's Wife Marcella De Martin Named Ambassador for the Billy 4 Kids Foundation

New York, New York--(Newsfile Corp. - July 19, 2022) - Billy Lerner's wife, Marcella De Martin, originally from Brazil, now New York City based, has been named an ambassador for the Billy4Kids foundation. Billy for Kids, founded in 2013, is a non profit organization that changes the lives of children around the world through hundreds of shoe donations.

Billy4Kids was established by Billy Lerner and Alexson Roy with the goal of not only donating shoes, but raising awareness to the imposing fact that parasitic diseases affect 740 million people worldwide. Billy4kids is currently focusing on helping children in poverty stricken areas of Africa, Brazil and Haiti where infectious diseases are affecting barefoot children. Marcella De Martin, also has a passion for this cause and has been working alongside her husband, Billy Lerner and co-founder Alexson Roy to continue to make an impact on the lives of families and children who are affected by parasitic diseases.
Unprotected feet in these regions cause children to suffer from parasitic and other bacterial diseases borne in soil.
The most apparent soil-transmitted disease is helminthiasis (STH): a parasitic infection spread by worms in tropical areas. Simply providing adequate footwear for these children creates a barrier between them and the soil which ultimately saves lives.

Marcella De Martin, is an activist, former model, and a mother, with a calling to make an impact on the lives of children who are exposed to these hardships. For the work she has done and lives she has changed, Billy4Kids has named her an ambassador for their foundation in honoring the change created. On a mission in February of this year, Marcella De Martin, Billy Lerner and Alexson Roy traveled to The Liberty Children's Home in Belize where they provided children in need with proper footwear.
