Xylitol Canada Inc. Announces Results of AGM

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - September 13, 2017) - Xylitol Canada Inc. (TSXV: XYL) ("Xylitol") announces the results of its annual general meeting of shareholders held on September 7, 2017 in Toronto. At the meeting, shareholders voted in favor of each of the matters presented, including the election the board of directors (Steven Haasz, Roger Daher, Julie Reid, Muneeb Yusuf and Sunir Chandaria), the appointment of MNP LLP as auditors for the ensuing year, the stock option plan and to change the Corporation's name to "Sweet Natural Trading Co." or such other names as the directors may determine in their discretion.

Xylitol welcomes its newest director Sunir Chandaria. Mr. Chandaria is President of the LePage's 2000, Inc., a position he has held since 2009, and an Executive at Conros Corporation. LePage's is a leader in office supplies distribution to major retailers across the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Chandaria graduated from Upper Canada College as Head Boy and pursued his undergraduate studies in Economics and Management at Oxford University, earning his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from St. Peter's College in 2002. He is a recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award and has since served on the Award's Board of Directors in Ontario and served as the inaugural Chairman of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Young Fellowship on its launch in 2008. Mr. Chandaria is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Since 2014, Mr. Chandaria has served as a director of the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG) and has governance positions with a number of private and non-for-profit entities.

Xylitol also announces today that it has issued 406,250 common shares at a deemed price of $0.08 per share to a Special Advisor. The shares were issued for consulting services pursuant to a consulting agreement (as press released on June 15, 2017). The Shares are subject to a four month hold period.
