In October 2016, Miramont entered into an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Midas Gold Property, located roughly 52 kilometers north-northeast of Wawa, Ontario. The property consists of ten mining claims covering an area of 1,728 hectares or 4,270 acres, located in the Michipicoten Greenstone Belt. Mineralization on the property consists mainly of gold within quartz veining and/or quartz-breccia zones.

To acquire the 100% interest, Miramont must pay $200,000 and 1 million shares in stages, on or before December 31, 2018.

In October, the company completed a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of $423,000 through the sale of 4,233,332 units at a price of $0.10 per unit. Each unit consisted of one share and one warrant, with each warrant exercisable at $0.15 for 24 months.

As at February 28, 2017, the Company had working capital of approximately $633,000.
