Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - April 20, 2015) - David Morgan of the Silver-Investor discusses, in his weekly video, events of the week ending April 10, 2015 that are affecting the metals and currencies markets.

In metals news, physical buying in India and China, the world's top two gold-consuming countries remained slow this week as premiums in China improved only slightly and those in India slipped as prices stabilized at $1,200 an ounce, after data showing U.S. consumer prices rose in March tempered speculation the Federal Reserve will delay its first interest rate rise in nearly a decade.

Silver was up 0.2 percent at $16.22 an ounce, while platinum was up 0.8 percent at $1,165.49 an ounce and palladium was up 0.7 percent at $781 an ounce.

In currency news, the dollar slid to a 10-day low against a basket of major currencies on Friday, as weak U.S. economic data cast doubt on prospects for a Federal Reserve interest rate rise in the coming months. Sterling saw its best week in more than 5 years.

Marine salvage experts have recovered $50 million in silver coins from a ship sunk by a German submarine in 1942 as it was transporting the cash from India to London to help finance Britain's efforts in World War Two.

In other news, Bank of America Corp settled its portion of a U.S. antitrust lawsuit in which investors accused 12 major banks of rigging prices in the foreign exchange market.
