Over a five-year period, Grande West Transportation designed, engineered and commercialized an advanced, eco-friendly and highly efficient urban transit vehicle known as the "Vicinity". The first 15 of the 27.5 foot buses, with a value of $3.5 million, were delivered in August 2013 to B.C. Transit, a crown agency of the Province of British Columbia.

The company announced orders for 15 additional buses, with a value of $3.8 million, in early 2014 to the province of Quebec and the Maritimes. It is aggressively marketing the Vicinity to transit authorities and private operators across Canada with the goal of building a large order book in the short-term. The company is headquartered in Aldergrove, British Columbia.
