Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - March 10, 2014) - GREAT ATLANTIC RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV: GR) is pleased to announce that it has completed three holes of drilling on the Keymet Gold - Lead Zinc Silver, property, located in the mining district of Bathurst New Brunswick. The Keymet Property consists of 162 mineral claims comprising 6,480 acres situated in the historic Bathurst Region of New Brunswick and hosts a former producing Silver-Lead-Zinc mine that was burnt to the ground in the early stages of its life, never to be recapitalized. Great Atlantic's focus will be on the new gold discovery that was trenched open in winter of 2012.

Drill Results

In 2011, Great Atlantic prospectors made a gold discovery while investigating Lead-Zinc-Silver (Pb-Zn-Ag) bearing structures in the northern part of the e property extending from the Keymet mine workings. Numerous, large boulders of silicified wacke and intraformational conglomerate containing 2 to 5% disseminated "needle" arsenopyrite were discovered in an area known, based on historical exploration work, to contain structurally controlled Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization. Subsequent trenching confirmed the presence of mineralized shear zones which was the target of the drill program.

A total of three holes were drilled totalling 192 meters. The targeted shear zone structure was intersected in the drill core but was not mineralized to same degree as observed on surface. The first two holes were completed in the area that was trenched and 12 m and 8 m of pyrite and minor arseno pyrite was intersected in holes one and two, the third hole was a 25 meter step out hole to address the strike length of the zone, the zone seemed to pinch and a intersection of four meters of pyrite and minor arseno pyrite was seen in core. As a result of extreme weather conditions and drill results on the step out hole the drill rig was released after the third hole to re-evaluate the program. Currently 21 samples have been sent to the ALS lab for assays.
